What we store
When you sign in with GitHub or Google we get your name, email and avatar from them and keep them in your Chipnik account. Projects, files and texts you publish are stored so the site can show them.
Flashing
When you flash a board, the browser sends us an anonymous event: project, board variant and whether it worked. It has no name or email. We use it for the success counters on project pages.
Cookies
We set only the cookies the site needs: the sign-in session, your language, the boards you marked in My boards, the light or dark theme and, for 30 days, where you first came from (for example youtube or the campaign name from the link). The last one holds no identifier: it only lets us count which videos and posts bring people who flash a board. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Store links
A store link takes you to the site of the store, its own rules and privacy policy apply there. We count clicks on these links without your name, address or cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not pass it to advertisers. Files are served from our own server.
Deleting
Write to us and we delete your account with everything tied to it.
