ATS Mini is the community firmware for the cheap pocket all-band receiver built on an ESP32-S3 and an SI4732 chip. It tunes FM with RDS, medium wave, longwave and the shortwave broadcast bands, receives SSB and CW from radio amateurs, scans bands and keeps memories, all from the encoder and the color screen. Original project by the ATS Mini community on GitHub, MIT. Chipnik hosts the release binaries unchanged so you can flash them from the browser.

There are two hardware versions of the receiver with different PSRAM. If you are not sure which one you have, start with OSPI; if the receiver keeps rebooting, flash the QSPI build.

Shortwave reception gets much better with a long wire antenna instead of the small telescopic one.

Firmware files come from the v2.45 release.

After flashing

  • The board restarts by itself when flashing is done.
  • If nothing happens, press the RST (EN) button once.

Flashing failed or the board behaves oddly
