Wi-Fi network

OpenMQTTGateway listens to Bluetooth Low Energy devices around you: thermometers, plant sensors, scales, tags and many more. It decodes their data with the Theengs decoder and publishes it over MQTT, so Home Assistant and other systems see each sensor on its own. These are the Bluetooth gateway builds, no extra hardware needed. Original project by 1technophile on GitHub, GPL-3.0. Chipnik hosts the release binaries unchanged so you can flash them from the browser.

After flashing, the board opens a Wi-Fi access point where you enter your network and MQTT broker. Home Assistant finds the sensors by itself through MQTT discovery.

Firmware files come from the v1.8.1 release.

After flashing

From the author’s guide:

  1. After flashing, the board opens a Wi-Fi access point where you enter your network and MQTT broker. Home Assistant finds the sensors by itself through MQTT discovery.

Flashing failed or the board behaves oddly
